With a 21 Point Lead in the NE-02 Primary, John Cavanaugh Raises $200,000 Including Broad Support from Labor Unions in Q3

A poll shows John has a 21 point lead in the Democratic primary. This quarter’s haul, along with $50,000 already raised in the first two weeks of Q4 brings the campaign’s total to $380,000.

Omaha, NE — Leading NE-02 Democrat John Cavanaugh announced that his campaign will report raising $200,000 in the third fundraising quarter of the year, which covers July through September. A poll released earlier this year shows him with a 21 point lead in the primary. The full polling memo can be found here.

John received checks from influential unions such as International Brotherhood of Electrical Works (IBEW) and the UA Union Plumbers & Pipefitters Vote! PAC. He also received support from Rep. Scott Peters through the Supporting House Problems Solvers PAC.

John’s campaign is quickly building momentum. In the first 14 days of October, John has already raised an additional $50,000. John is building a strong campaign to stand up to Trump, defend our Democratic values, and flip NE-02 blue. His endorsements include:
