John Cavanaugh Is On the Air With the First TV Ads of the NE-02 Race 

Cavanaugh released two new ads that will be seen by NE-02 voters on TV, streaming platforms, and digital.

Omaha, NE – Today John Cavanaugh’s campaign released the first two TV ads in the race for Nebraska’s Second Congressional District. 

Building on his 28 point lead in the polls, endorsements from eight labor unions and groups like End Citizens United, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, NRDC Action Fund, Sierra Club, and local leaders like State Senator Spivey and State Senator McKinney, Cavanaugh’s two new ads highlight his record of standing up to anyone to deliver for Nebraskans.

The ads will begin airing in the Omaha media market, which covers the entire district, on Tuesday, March 10th. They will also be running on streaming platforms and as digital ads. The primary election is on May 12 and ballots begin being mailed to voters on April 6th. No other candidate – Democrat or Republican – has run any ads.

The campaign will begin running two spots. “Fights For You” highlights Cavanaugh’s record as a State Senator who has lowered costs and helped block a total abortion ban. Now, Cavanaugh is running for Congress to stop the Trump madness. Watch Fights For You HERE.

In “Controlling” Cavanaugh says “ending the corruption in Congress is how we put families first.” The ad highlights Cavanaugh’s promises to ban stock trading in Congress, refuse corporate PAC money, and support a constitutional amendment to prevent billionaires from buying our elections. Cavanaugh said: “I’m running because Trump’s corruption and chaos is causing families to pay more for gas, groceries, and housing. We need our strongest fighters in Washington next year to put the breaks on Trump and hold him and his Administration accountable. I’m excited that we’ll be able to reach thousands of voters through these ads and look forward to continuing the hard work of flipping this seat blue – knocking doors, holding town halls, and listening to voters.”

John Cavanaugh is a current State Senator and a candidate for Congress in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District. Polling shows John has a 28 point lead in the Democratic primary. John is running to lower costs, protect healthcare and Social Security from the Trump Administration’s attacks, and fight corruption.
